Sports Bettors' Bill of Rights

Add your voice to the sports betting legalization debate. Sign the Sports Bettors’ Bill of Rights petition.

Every year, sports fans spend $150 billion on illegal sports bets. These sports bettors have no rights against fraud, no guarantee of data security or privacy, and no recourse to fight back against bad actors.

In the wake of the Supreme Court repealing the federal ban on sports betting, states across the country prepare to legalize sports betting.  Who is looking out for the consumers? Your state legislators need to hear from you that you want a competitive marketplace that protects sports bettors from fraud and other harms.

States have every reason to bring sports betting out of the shadows and into a legal, safe market. Tax revenue only comes from legal, open transactions. And the public deserves basic consumer protections.  Therefore, states should adopt basic sports bettor protections.

Specifically, legislation legalizing sports betting must include these five basic rights.

  1. Integrity & Transparency
  2. Data Privacy & Security
  3. Self-Exclusion
  4. Protection of the Vulnerable
  5. Recourse

Sign the petition to safeguard yourself, family and friends, and unlock your state’s economic potential!
